3v3 · the haunted forest
The Hushwood
A hundred-by-hundred board with the bases in opposite corners. Two L-shaped lanes wrap the empty corners, one river runs the other diagonal, and everything on red's side is blue's side turned through a half circle, so the walk to any objective is the same length from either fountain.
- Blue fountain, nexus, inhibitors and towers
- Red fountain, nexus, inhibitors and towers
- The Kraken's Wake, in the open central arena
- Altars, one on each bank
- Jungle camps: a grove, a horror and a sentinel a side
- The river
- The lanes
- Three towers a side per lane, seated so the two front towers frame the ford. The stretch between them is the contested one. Each lane's inner wall opens three times: a safe gank door near each base, and the ford window in the middle.
- The heart
- The Kraken wakes at seven minutes, worth two hundred and fifty team gold and the Wrath of the Deep. Its arena has four ways in: down the river from either ford, and through a jungle mouth from either side's wood.
- The altars
- The Altar of Fury and the Altar of Swiftness sit on opposite banks. Each is a dry walk for one team and a river crossing for the other, and the trade is exactly even.
- The jungle
- Thornpelt wolves by the top-side door, grasping shades by the bot-side door, and a stone sentinel guarding each side's mouth into the heart. The west sentinel carries Duskweave, the east Emberheart.
5v5 · the big map
The Wide Wood
Three lanes and a full jungle, bases in the corners, one river across the middle with a pit at each end of it.
Two pits, two bosses
The river fords all three lanes and ends in a pit at each end. The Warden, Shepherd of the Hush, keeps the north pit and pays out the Warden's Mantle. The Kraken keeps the south.
Twelve points of interest
Four groves, two sentinel buff camps, two squids, two river crabs and the two pits. The altars sit on the riverbanks, as they do in the Hushwood.
Ten seats, all filled
Every seat that a player does not take is taken by a bot, through the same seating the Hushwood uses. A full ten-champion match runs today.
